“ Got the mafalde pesto pasta and it was delicious. Service was great and the ambiance is charming. This place definitely lives up to the hype ”
“ New York flavours by the Bronx Zoo Trattoria Zero Otto Nove overall was a delightful experience. The service stood out as attentive and professional, with staff offering excellent recommendations that showcased the menu's highlights. The ambiance, while cozy (if you sit in the corner) leaned on the darker and quieter side, which might not appeal to everyone but could work well for an intimate evening. Taste: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value for money: 3.5/5 We had: * Grilled Octopus (5/5): Perfectly tender with just the right amount of smoky, grilled flavor. An absolute must-try for seafood lovers. * Margherita Pizza: A well-executed classic. The tomato sauce was slightly sweet but balanced beautifully with the other ingredients. * La Cirilo (14-inch pie): A creative and flavorful combination. The butternut squash added a subtle sweetness, while the creamed and truffle mushrooms brought a rich, umami depth to the dish. The quality of the food and the thoughtful preparation made the meal worth its price, though a touch more brightness in the ambiance would elevate the overall experience. Would I return? Definitely--for the flavors and solid service. Especially after a long walk at the zoo! ”
“ Simple small menu done well. I really enjoyed their pizza with the spicy salami. The egg pasta was really interesting! ”
“ Was honestly baffled when I saw that I hadn't reviewed Zero Otto Nove. The only explanation is that I've been heading there since before I was actively Yelping. My family has been there a number of times through the years and this past Saturday, my wife and I decided it's been too long. Arthur Avenue was packed on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon and we were greeted by friendly and professional hostesses. We lucked into a table for two in an otherwise full restaurant. I recognized our waiter from past trips, also pleasant and professional. The restaurant is charming and certainly transports us to Italy. We decided to have a selection of appetizers and a vegetable side. Mini meatballs and polenta are a favorite. The fava and artichoke appetizer is quite good. The burrata and beet is super high quality. The Brussels sprouts and guanciale vegetable side is nicely prepared. We also really enjoyed the ample cold antipasto platter. My wife enjoyed a glass of a Super Tuscan red wine. Nice opportunity to remind ourselves how much we love this restaurant! ”
“ Been to some of the popular spots around Arthur Ave and left pretty disappointed. Zero Otto was the only exception so far. Pastas were great. Pork chop with cherry peppers were great. Baked clams were great. ”
“ Zero Otto Nove, in Little Italy in the Bronx, serves amazing Italian food. We got the caprese pizza (four slices), rigatoni con zucca, and linguini puttanseca. The caprese pizza had fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, oregano, arugula, and shaved parmigiano. The pizza dough came out and fresh with a soft texture. I believe it tastes better when not folded. The rigatoni came with butternut squash puree, peas, and porcini mushrooms. The al dente texture tasted amazing, and the thickness of the rigatoni made it filling. I loved the butternut squash puree and would highly recommend this dish. The table came with four slices of bread and olive oil. The service was great. Waiters filled our water glasses without us asking, and they continually checked in on us. One major issue, however, is that I feel that there's not much to do around Little Italy in the Bronx. The nearby New York Botanical Garden is about a thirty-minute walk away, but I feel that there aren't other interesting sights to see or things to do around the area. ”
“ Amazing and delicious! They only make reservations after 8pm and take walk-in's anytime before - we got there ~6:30pm and were promptly seated. Service is friendly-comfortable and very quick. We got the Margherita - super fresh, soft dough, and each slice has that delicious wood fired flavor; you really can't go wrong with a classic pie like that. I'd love to come again to try their other pies - like the one with spicy sopressata. I was really excited for the squid ink linguini - which you can get mild or spice; would definitely recommend spicy - it isn't hot spicy more so a subtle warmth on your lips due to the chili oil. The calamari was cooked to perfection - super soft and still got that nice springy texture. All in all, we left very content and super pleased with our food and the service received - can't recommend enough! ”
“ Came on a Friday for an early dinner. Seemed like you could probably walk in without making a reservation. The bread that they gave was okay. Nothing that I felt was particularly good or bad. The brussel sprouts were good. Maybe a tad bit saltier than I would've liked because of the guanciale, but bacon is always good. I thought the squid ink pasta lacked a depth in flavor. However, the pasta was perfectly cooked and the squid was immensely tender. Be prepared to have black lip stains that are somewhat difficult to wipe off. Tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal. ”
“ Had to do some Easter shopping so hot this place up . Been wanting to come here. Really cute place when you walk in its like being in a bistro in Italy . Started with clams Orengenata they were so fresh with a creamy lemon sauce . I had Veal Scaloppini with prosciutto and grilled zucchini and fontina cheese. Omg brown sauce was so good. Veal mostly tender. One piece was little chewy. We also ordered the ravioli special. They were stuffed with artichoke and cheese. Really flavorful and cooked perfectly. Prices very reasonable for the quality ingredients. Waitstaff top notch. Parking is annoying Cant wait to come back. ”
